Concern Galnaftogaz joined to Go Green! - informational and educational UN campaign in Ukraine

On July 3, the UN Office in Ukraine announced the official launch of the national informational and educational campaign “Go Green!”. Today, the President of Concern Galnaftogaz Vitaliy Antonov affixed his signature to the Go Green! Declaration. Go Green! Campaign was initiated by UN Office in Ukraine together with the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Ukraine, and was presented in the frameworks of the UN Global Compact Network. “Go Green!” Declaration encourages Ukrainian and foreign companies, non-governmental organizations to contribute to the public recognition of their voluntary efforts on environmental protection both at the local and international level. Apart from Concern Halnaftohaz, the Declaration was signed today by System Capital Management, Coca-Cola (Ukraine), Mykolayiv Alumina Plant, Niko, Obolon, Radisson SAS Ukraine, Tetra Pak, Philip (Ukraine), and Foxtrot. In total, more than 20 companies and non-governmental organizations signed the Declaration. Go Green! Campaign as a voluntary initiative aims to increase the public awareness about the effects of climate change, popularize the principles of energy saving, improve the level of the environmental protection within the context of the country’s economic and social development. The declaration will enable every organization in Ukraine, irrespective of its size or financial results, to contribute to the solution of important ecological problems.
