Concern Galnaftogaz shared its experience of implementation of Green office programme

Ukrainian business is extensively interested in «green initiatives»; the evidence of it are more and more frequent and each time more popular meetings and sessions, devoted to this issue. The meeting of the American Chamber of Commerce PR Committee, which took place on the 11th of September in Kyiv, gathered a large amount of representatives from different sectors of business. The discussion concerned foreign and Ukrainian experience of implementation of «green projects» and most popular approaches, which are used in this regard.

Ukrainian companies are already actively extending Green office principles – the project is simple in implementation, but very efficient by its essence. The representatives of Concern Galnaftogaz took part in the meeting as speakers, sharing own achievements with the participants of the meeting in realization of this project at OKKO filling complexes and in the offices of the company. Except Galnaftogaz, the representatives of Tetra Pak and Volya companies informed about successful and complex implementation of ecological programmes.

«Galnaftogaz is one of the most active signatories of the UN Global Compact in the programmes of environmental protection, – co-chairman of American Chamber of commerce PR Committee Natalya Popovych marked, – For today's meeting we collected speakers from those companies, which can serve with their ecological initiatives as an example for other companies of Ukraine, which also intend to stay on this way».

Participants of the meeting which have already been implementing «green projects» within their companies were constantly emphasizing, that «green projects» are not only important for environment, but also help to change employees' behavior to more responsible and conscious one. And today's economic situation suits ideally for rethinking of our consumer behavior and the introduction of more rational approaches to the consumption of resources. Wide usage of green office principles by Ukrainian companies, in participants' opinion, will facilitate the process of education of ecological behavior of our fellow-citizens, and also will urge proper legislative bodies to legislative initiatives in the field of ecology.
